The Center of Being
What amazes me about the Ipomoea purpurea (Morning Glory), is that provided with the ability to look closely into the core of the blossom, I feel I am looking into the source of life. There is a mystery there. Especially with the purple blossoms, the closer in one gets the less one comprehends. Is this just me? Check out the slideshow. I like the reverse purple, the one which is mainly white with faint purple stripes.
As the bee takes the essence of a flower and flies way without harming its blossom, color or fragrance, so let the sage wander in this life. ~from the Dhammapada.

As I recall the morning glory was banned in Arizona. I can't remember exactly why, but they are pretty cool. I was walking somewhere the other day that seeing them surprised me. They sure do catch your eye.
ah so, a noxious weed. ;-)
Really enjoyed this group. Several of the blue morning glories seem to have their own spotlight at the center. Talk abaout heading for the light. . .The tightly curled one, Number 3? has the tension of possibilities. Reminds me of the exercise where you scrunch up one part of your body, say, your face, and then release it all at once, which relaxes you lickity split.
You said it better than I could have, Susan: They have their own spotlight at the center. I feel blinded by the light. The intensity of the energy seems to have bleached out the center. I also see the tension of potentiality in both #3 and #4. Thanks.
